Autonomize AI Secures $28M to Transform Healthcare Operations with Agentic AI

Healthcare AI company Autonomize AI announced the closing of a $28 million Series A funding round, bringing its total capital raised to $32 million. The round was led by Valtruis, The Cigna Group Ventures, and Tau Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Asset Management Ventures, ATX Venture Partners, and Capital Factory.

Founded in 2022 by Ganesh Padmanabhan and Kris Nair, Autonomize AI addresses healthcare operational inefficiencies through its Agentic AI Orchestration platform. Unlike traditional automation tools or generic AI solutions, the company has developed a healthcare-native orchestration engine featuring pre-trained, deployable AI agents that function as intelligent copilots across complex healthcare workflows.

The platform's AI agents operate within a coordinated multi-agent system, handling critical workflows including care management, utilization review, benefits coordination, and chart review. This approach moves beyond simple prompt-based responses to align with real-world healthcare operations, incorporating enterprise-grade explainability, built-in transparency, and compliance-ready workflows suitable for regulated healthcare environments.

Already deployed at scale within Fortune 100 healthcare enterprises, Autonomize AI's platform has demonstrated significant operational improvements. The company reports saving 36,000 clinical hours per month by automating repetitive administrative tasks, generating over 100,000 automated care plans monthly to support higher-value patient interactions, and achieving up to 50% faster decisions on prior authorizations and claims, thereby accelerating patient access to care.

The platform maintains human oversight through human-in-the-loop systems, ensuring accountability and trust in every AI-driven decision. This approach addresses the unique requirements of healthcare environments where transparency and compliance are paramount.

"The current healthcare system is no longer suited for the way care is delivered today—and too often, patients and clinicians pay the price in delayed treatment, wasted time, and unnecessary friction. Automation alone is not the answer for healthcare, but accountable, human-centered AI augmentation is," stated CEO Ganesh Padmanabhan.

The new funding will enable Autonomize AI to scale its solutions and expand its reach across healthcare organizations seeking to reduce administrative complexity, enhance clinician capacity, and improve care delivery outcomes. The company's focus on solving high-friction, high-value operational challenges positions it to drive scalable impact across multiple healthcare and life sciences segments.

With strong traction and proven results at enterprise scale, Autonomize AI represents a practical application of AI technology in healthcare, moving beyond theoretical possibilities to deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency and patient care delivery.
