Clario and PathAI Partner to Enhance GI Clinical Trial Imaging

Clario, a clinical data company, and AI firm PathAI are partnering to deliver an end-to-end imaging and pathology solution for gastrointestinal (GI) clinical trials. The collaboration aims to streamline anatomical pathology services and next-gen video endoscopy analysis, enhancing trial sponsors' ability to assess and track GI conditions more efficiently.

Clario has supported over 130 GI clinical trials with its advanced imaging technologies, such as endoscopy, MRI, and ultrasound. PathAI, based in Boston, will contribute its network of GI pathologists and AI-driven anatomical pathology services, optimizing specimen handling and histological assessments. This integration enhances consistency in ulcerative colitis assessments, histological scoring, and biomarker discovery.

The partnership offers a comprehensive workflow, including training, logistics, tissue processing, image analysis, and data transfers, all overseen by experts. Clario’s Medical Director, Dr. Marcela Vieira, emphasized the potential of combining endoscopy and histopathology to unlock new clinical research opportunities, positioning the collaboration as a leader in GI trial innovation.
