GE HealthCare Launches AltiX AI.i to Enhance Cardiac Procedures

GE HealthCare has launched the AltiX AI.i edition of its Mac-Lab™, CardioLab™, and ComboLab™ systems, designed to improve cardiac catheterization (cath) lab workflows and support complex electrophysiology (EP) procedures. These new editions introduce enhanced workflow efficiency, interoperability, and cybersecurity, addressing the growing demand for cardiovascular care as CVD cases have nearly doubled over the past 30 years, now affecting over 500 million people worldwide. The Mac-Lab system optimizes cath lab workflows by integrating the diastolic pressure ratio (dPR) algorithm for assessing coronary artery disease severity, supporting diastolic hyperemia-free ratio (DFR) measurements, and offering an optional Cath Lab Command Center with a large display and advanced documentation tools. The CardioLab system enhances EP procedures by improving signal quality through the Prucka™ 3 digital amplifier, reducing noise, and introducing new signal-filtering capabilities. It also integrates Volta Interface, which uses real-time AI-driven assessments via the Volta AF-Xplorer™ decision support system to identify atrial fibrillation drivers, with an EP Command Center for optimal visualization. The ComboLab system merges EP and hemodynamic recording into a single platform, offering Mac-Lab and CardioLab functionalities in one system. Its streamlined interface and documentation capabilities improve efficiency and decision-making at the point of care.“AltiX AI.i is built on decades of expertise in invasive cardiology to optimize cath and EP labs, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional patient care,” said Jyoti Gera, CEO, CardioVascular & Interventional Solutions, GE HealthCare. By automating tasks and streamlining workflows, AltiX AI.i enhances efficiency, diagnosis, and therapy, ensuring better outcomes for patients in need of cardiovascular treatment.Click here for the original news story.
