RevelAi Health Raises $3.1M to Scale AI Care for Musculoskeletal Health

RevelAi Health, a conversational AI platform designed for musculoskeletal care, has closed an oversubscribed $3.1 million seed round led by Ulu Ventures and Symphonic Capital, with support from Orthopedic VC, Sand Hill Angels, and prominent orthopedic surgeons. With musculoskeletal disorders representing the largest segment of U.S. healthcare spending—over $420 billion annually—and a projected shortage of up to 86,000 physicians by 2036, RevelAi addresses a critical need. Meanwhile, CMS is pushing hospitals toward mandatory downside-risk bundles for orthopedic episodes, aiming for universal value-based coverage by 2030.

Christian Pean, MD, CEO and founder of RevelAi Health, explains that musculoskeletal care is transitioning from isolated visits to population-level accountability amid stretched clinical teams. RevelAi provides an AI-driven operating layer to help organizations navigate this shift.

The platform serves as a 24/7 virtual care navigator for orthopedic practices, offering evidence-based triage, collecting quality reporting data via voice or text, and transforming all encounters into structured clinical notes with documentation codes and automated risk alerts. Its workflows support CMS’s Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM) and other value-based care initiatives without increasing staff burden. Content and clinical logic are continuously updated by a panel of board-certified orthopedic surgeons to ensure guideline adherence and optimized value-based care.

Ronald Delanois, MD, Chairman of Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics, highlights RevelAi’s role in closing care gaps, reducing avoidable ER visits, and simplifying quality reporting without adding staff workload. Joseph Zuckerman, MD, Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone, emphasizes conversational AI’s importance in meeting value-based care mandates.

RevelAi combines musculoskeletal care with surgical expertise and social-care support to reduce readmissions, address care gaps in underserved populations, and enable true population-level orthopedic health. Clint Korver, Managing Director at Ulu Ventures, praises the platform’s scalable AI orchestration, which eases clinicians’ workload while enhancing patient experience.

Co-Founder and CTO Hadi Javeed adds that RevelAi is building an AI console that converts every patient interaction into coordinated care.

The new funding will enhance integrations with electronic health records and practice management systems, expand AI-driven outcome surveys and risk pathways, grow engineering and research teams, and accelerate partnerships with health systems, specialty societies, and ambulatory surgery centers.
