Sonde Health and Saaya Health Partner to Support Blue-Collar Mental Wellness

Sonde Health and Saaya Health have announced a strategic partnership aimed at extending proactive health monitoring and mental wellness support to blue-collar workforces across large enterprises.

The collaboration integrates Sonde's AI-enabled voice technology platform, which analyzes short voice samples to detect health conditions through vocal biomarkers, with Saaya's comprehensive mental health and well-being platform. Sonde's technology can identify indicators of respiratory fitness, depression, and anxiety from subtle changes in a person's voice.

"Frontline workers are the high-performance backbone of many industries, yet they often lack access to proactive health tracking tools," David Liu, CEO of Sonde Health, said in a statement. "By combining our voice-based health insights with Saaya's mental health support services, we provide large enterprises with the ability to find workers in need of support before they are unwell, so the entire workforce remains healthy and productive."

The integrated solution has already completed a pilot program at one of the world's largest oil and gas companies. The companies expect clients in energy, manufacturing, and logistics industries to implement the offering later this year.

Saaya Health's platform provides employees with access to various support services, including:

  • One-on-one counseling sessions with psychologists

  • Workshops on well-being and training

  • AI-enabled nutritional coaching

  • Specialized programs for blue-collar workers

  • 24/7 hotline support

Additionally, Saaya offers surveys and assessment tools that help HR departments better understand their workforce's needs and challenges.

This partnership represents a growing trend in workplace wellness that focuses on preventative care rather than reactive treatment. By identifying potential health issues before they become serious problems, companies can maintain workforce productivity while supporting employee well-being.

Sonde Health has established itself as a leader in the vocal biomarker space since licensing its technology from MIT's Lincoln Laboratory. The company secured $19.25 million in Series B funding in 2022, bringing its total investment to $35.25 million. A month before that funding round, Sonde received a $2 million strategic investment from South Korean telecommunications giant KT Corporation.

Other notable companies in the vocal biomarker analysis market include Kintsugi, which analyzes voice patterns to identify anxiety and depression, and Canary Speech, which recently received a patent for its paired neural networks for speech analysis.
