SONIFI Health has announced a partnership with NESA, a virtual care technology firm, to enhance patient care through its interactive TV system. This collaboration aims to deliver virtual care sessions based on electronic health records (EHR) to patient rooms, providing a more accessible and streamlined experience for both patients and healthcare staff.
NESA’s AI-powered technology will be embedded into Epic’s ECAL/CAL platform, enabling hospitals to deploy virtual care through wall-mounted displays and mobile carts. Nurses stationed in centralized command centers can now handle tasks such as admissions, patient rounding, and discharge preparations virtually, directly via SONIFI’s TV system, reducing the need for additional equipment management.
The integration will simplify care delivery and improve patient adoption, according to Meghan Seus, SONIFI Health’s senior vice president of product management. By using familiar in-room TVs, patients can easily switch between entertainment, educational content, and virtual care, improving both patient engagement and clinical workflow.
