ResMed, a global leader in sleep and digital health, launched its next-generation AirSense™ 11 CPAP device. The device features a range of advanced tools designed to simplify the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), offering users improved comfort and convenience. Built and produced at the Tuas facility, the AirSense™ 11 combines powerful therapy with smart digital features that enhance both patient experience and clinician support.
Carlos Montiel, Vice President and General Manager of Southeast Asia and South Korea at ResMed, stated, “Digital health innovations like these can significantly improve sleep quality for those with sleep apnoea, boosting both physical and mental well-being." As Singapore's fast-paced lifestyle often leads to poor sleep, ResMed’s technology aims to tackle sleep deprivation and enhance overall quality of life.
According to ResMed’s 2024 Global Sleep Survey, nearly 40% of Singaporeans only get one to three nights of good sleep each week. ResMed aims to help 500 million people with sleep disorders by 2030.
Key features of the AirSense™ 11 include:
Personal Therapy Assistant: The myAir app provides an easy-to-follow setup guide, reducing setup time and helping users adjust to therapy pressure more comfortably. The device’s intuitive touchscreen operates like a smartphone for a seamless experience.
Care Check-In: The device provides personalized feedback through the myAir app and the device screen, with healthcare providers able to monitor patients remotely via AirView, offering a fast, virtual check-in.
Proprietary Therapy Algorithms: The AirSense™ 11 features AutoSet and APAP algorithms for tailored breath-by-breath therapy, including a special mode for women, AutoSet for Her.
Remote Monitoring: The myAir app and AirView platform help improve patient adherence to therapy by tracking usage, sleep events, and mask leaks. AirView provides clinicians with secure, cloud-based access to patient data, enhancing care and reducing follow-up costs.
This launch in Singapore marks a significant step in ResMed’s global efforts to transform sleep health through innovative digital solutions.
