Hinge Health, a digital musculoskeletal (MSK) care platform, has partnered with Amazon Health Services to simplify access to MSK care. Users can check coverage eligibility via Amazon Health’s website and, if eligible, access Hinge Health’s platform. Founded in 2015 and based in San Francisco, Hinge Health provides resources for musculoskeletal conditions, including access to orthopedic surgeons, health coaches, physical therapists, and tools like surgery decision support. For those with limited mobility due to pain, it offers the FDA-cleared Enso wearable device, which uses electrical nerve stimulation for pain relief.
Through the partnership, Amazon users experiencing back, joint, or muscle pain can verify coverage and connect with Hinge Health’s care team after completing a questionnaire. Additionally, searches for related products on Amazon highlight Hinge Health’s services, enabling easy eligibility checks. Aaron Martin, VP of Healthcare at Amazon, said the collaboration aims to simplify the journey to better health for people with MSK pain.
Hinge Health is reportedly preparing for a public offering in early 2025 after raising $828 million in funding and reaching a $6.2 billion valuation. The company has formed strategic partnerships with organizations like Midi Health, Sun Life, and Upswing Health to expand its services, and in 2022 it added in-home physical therapy to its virtual offerings for a holistic approach to MSK care.
