Metronomic Acquires Iron Health, Expands Women’s Health Access

Iron Health, a tech-enabled women’s health company, has been acquired by Metronomic, Inc., a digital health firm specializing in innovative maternity care solutions. Finalized on December 30, 2024, this strategic acquisition aims to expand access to comprehensive and integrated women’s healthcare. Despite the acquisition, Iron Health will remain an independent entity, retaining its existing care delivery model and services while leveraging Metronomic’s digital health platform to enhance its offerings and broaden its reach.

The integration of Iron Health’s services with Metronomic’s Materno™ pregnancy management platform will create a seamless, end-to-end solution for women’s health, addressing both obstetrics (OB) and gynecology (GYN) needs. This unified approach aims to improve patient experiences and care coordination between providers. Materno™ facilitates remote monitoring and care management, enabling OBGYN clinics to extend the impact of clinic-based care.

Iron Health provides a range of services, including primary care for general and preventive health, behavioral health support, weight management programs, and pregnancy resources for expectant mothers. Its platform enhances care accessibility, improves coordination, and boosts ancillary service utilization, which helps alleviate provider burnout and improve patient outcomes.

Leadership changes accompany this transition, with Dr. Sujith Krishnan, founder and CEO of Metronomic, stepping in as Iron Health’s new CEO. He succeeds Stephanie Winans, Iron Health’s founder and CEO, who will oversee a smooth transition over the next three months. The Customer Success team, led by Lydia Valdez, and the Care Delivery team, led by Elizabeth Skafish, will continue their roles to ensure uninterrupted support throughout this process.
