Reveleer Acquires Novillus to Enhance Health Plan-Provider Collaboration

California-based healthcare data and analytics company Reveleer has acquired Novillus, a provider of workflow platforms for health plans, in a strategic move to enhance collaboration between health plans and healthcare providers. The acquisition aims to strengthen Reveleer's AI-enabled platform and improve care gap management while promoting greater integration across the healthcare ecosystem.

Reveleer, which rebranded from its former name Health Data Vision, offers a comprehensive suite of workflow, data and analytics tools designed for payers focused on advancing value-based care. The company's solutions support risk adjustment, quality improvement, and member management, alongside medical record retrieval and review services.

Novillus brings to the table its specialized workflow engine for payers, with particular strengths in care gap management and workflow processing. The company also offers a provider directory data platform that will complement Reveleer's existing capabilities.

"By acquiring Novillus, we're accelerating our strategy of aligning payers and providers to improve health outcomes through faster care gap closure," Jay Ackerman, CEO of Reveleer, said in a statement. "This acquisition strengthens our platform's ability to deliver unmatched AI-powered quality and clinical intelligence solutions, while helping our customers not only meet, but exceed their goals for Star Rating performance, risk adjustment accuracy, and care gap closure. All are key areas that drive improved patient outcomes, reduce cost of care, and improve financial success."

The acquisition represents the latest development in Reveleer's ongoing expansion strategy. Last year, the company secured more than $65 million in funding led by Hercules Capital, building on a previous $65 million round in 2021 that was led by Oak HC/FT with participation from Boston Millennia Partners and Upfront Ventures.

Reveleer has been actively growing through strategic acquisitions. In 2023, the company acquired MDPortals, a risk adjustment platform that creates unified longitudinal health records by compiling patient data from diverse sources across the care continuum. The year before, Reveleer acquired Dynamic Healthcare Systems, which provided integrated workflow platforms for member management, revenue optimization, and risk management, particularly for health plans involved in Medicare standalone plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Exchange programs.

With the Novillus acquisition, Reveleer continues to build out its comprehensive platform aimed at bridging gaps between payers and providers in the evolving value-based care landscape.
