Stephanie Ledesma is vice president of community health for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and is responsible for the oversight of operational alignment, effectiveness, continuous improvement, and efficiency across Kaiser Permanente’s Community Health portfolio currently at $3 billion annually. In this role, Stephanie leads all aspects of operations and core community health initiatives for Kaiser Permanente ensuring resources are deployed effectively and efficiently to accelerate, amplify, and scale value for our communities and our members, in full alignment with KP’s missionPrior to joining Kaiser Permanente in 2020, Stephanie was Chief Operating Officer of Aetna Better Health of Pennsylvania (ABH PA), Aetna’s Medicaid line of business within the Commonwealth, leading a team focused on optimizing the operations of the health plan, and spearheaded the plan’s shift from fee-for-service contracts to value-based arrangements. While there, she forged deep partnerships with local community-based organizations to help ABH PA members address their social determinants of health, with focus on interrupting the intergenerational cycles of poverty single mothers often experience by empowering them with educational opportunities; as well as a focus on the needs of people living with food insecurity. Before her time with Aetna, Stephanie worked with Magellan Health Services serving in vice presidential positions where she served as Magellan Complete Care’s Chief Technology Officer, with responsibility for implementing Florida’s first and only Medicaid specialty plan for individuals with Serious Mental Illness, and for implementing New York’s Fully Integrated Duals Advantage (FIDA) program. Additionally, she held accountability for Information Technology and Claims operations for all strategic business units. Her work identifying and prioritizing systems improvements for the organization increased Magellan’s return on investment and laid the groundwork for long-term implementation strategies.Stephanie was the recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs as one of Pennsylvania’s top 100 most influential Latino leaders. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Analytics from Saint Louis University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Lindenwood University.
