Dan is a Partner at Flare Capital Partners, where he has led investments into and sits on the Boards of Somatus, Eden Health, Oui Health, and Votive Health. Dan was a practicing Internal Medicine Physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital and had a Faculty appointment as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2010 until 2019.

Prior to joining Flare Capital, Dan served as a Medical Director at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan, leading Population Health Analytics, Value-Based Purchasing, and General Strategy. Dan also spent time as an entrepreneur and operator in the Health IT Industry, cofounding and managing two separate businesses in the Electronic Health Records and Online Medical Education industries.

Dan’s other interests include Healthcare Policy and Global Health. Dan served on Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s Board of Nursing Home Administrators from 2016 to 2020. He has served as a Senior Health Policy Advisor for the Campaigns of Governor Charlie Baker, Congressman Joseph Kennedy III and Congressman Jake Auchincloss. He has worked to expand healthcare infrastructure in the developing world, serving as a consultant for the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in Ethiopia.

Dan earned a B.S. with honors from the University of California, San Diego, an M.D. Summa Cum Laude from the Morehouse School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. Dan completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Laura is a graduate of Williams College and holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Dipa leads the Corporate Development and Ventures group at Advocate Aurora Enterprises (AAE). AAE is a subsidiary of Advocate Aurora Health, one of the largest health systems in the United States. She supports the AAE category leaders in sourcing, diligence, negotiating, and post- transaction reporting for a variety of different transaction types.

Dipa was formerly a Managing Director at Sandbox Industries, a Chicago-based venture capital firm which is the investment manager to the Blue Venture Fund. The Blue Venture Fund is a unique collaboration between BCBS companies, BCBSA, and Sandbox. During her time at Sandbox, Ms. Mehta served on the boards of Contessa Health, Upward Health, Oncology Analytics, AbleTo, and Lumiata. Prior to Sandbox, Dipa was at Amgen Ventures, the corporate venture fund of Amgen. Dipa started her career in the Global Healthcare Group at UBS and the Healthcare Fund at Paul Capital Partners, which invested in late-stage pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Dipa holds a BS from the New York University Stern School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she received the Chicago Booth Leadership Award of Distinction. Dipa has also completed the Kauffman Fellowship, a prestigious two-year program for venture capitalists. Dipa is currently an Investor in Residence with the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship at Booth where she advises students and teaches workshops. She is also a Board Director for DTRT Health Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: DTRTU), a SPAC that is targeting the home and community-based care sectors for a transaction.
